Seasonality: Green Season (Nov - March) Day time temperatures range from 77 f to 95 f. This is also known as the rainy season with frequent afternoon thunderstorms. The landscape is lush and green, making it an excellent time for photography, birdwatching, and nature walks.
Gold Season: Autumn (March to May) Daytime temperatures range from 68°F to 86°F. The rain subsides, and the weather is generally warm and dry. Nights start to cool down.
Brown Season: Winter & Spring (June to October) Daytime temperatures range from 59°F to 77°F and by September temperatures range from 68°F to 86°F. Nights can be cool, dropping to around 41°F to 50°F. This is the dry season with clear, sunny days and cool nights. The sparse vegetation makes wildlife viewing easier. A perfect time for game viewing, hiking, and star gazing.
For Game Viewing: Winter (June to August) is ideal for game viewing due to the dry conditions and sparse vegetation.
For Birdwatching and Photography: Summer (November to February) offers lush landscapes and abundant birdlife.
For Comfortable Weather: Autumn (March to May) and Spring (September) provide warm, pleasant weather for outdoor activities.
Packing Tips
Health & Vaccines: The Soutpansberg mountain range is considered to be a low-risk Malaria area. International guests should check with their doctor regarding vaccinations required and malaria medication prior to travel. Travel insurance policies should cover emergency evacuation. We do have an affiliated doctor available to all our guests should a medical emergency arise.

We offer uniquely designed tented suites, called our Cliff Suites, each featuring a king bed, hot tub/plunge pool, bath, outdoor shower, and an expansive deck overlooking the valley.
Is the lodge suitable for children?
Absolutely! The mountain is an extraordinary place for children to be free to explore the bush on foot, by air, and by electric vehicle.
Are there options for families?
Yes, our suites can accommodate families with additional roller beds available for children.
What dining options are available?
We offer an all-inclusive dining experience featuring farm-to-table cuisine, a fine dining restaurant, Boma Braai, bush picnics, cookout breakfasts, and in-room dining.
Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?
Yes, we can accommodate various dietary restrictions. Please inform us of your dietary needs when making your reservation.
What activities are included in the stay?
Our all-inclusive rate includes all our activities apart from spa services and offsite adventures such as a visit to Mapungubwe National Park, and Crystal Salt pans. Each of these activities will incur a small additional fee.

Yes, all our activities are privately guided to ensure a personalized and immersive
experience for you and your loved ones.
How do I get to Few & Far Luvhondo?
You can reach us via Rovos Rail, which arrives at the property from Victoria Falls once a week, by charter flight to our airstrip, by private car from Hoedspruit (3 hours) or Pretoria/Johannesburg (4.5 hours), or by commercial flight from Polokwane.
What sustainability practices do you follow?
We use no single-use plastics, utilize 100% renewable energy, we aim to become zero waste, and are a carbon-negative lodge. Guests can participate in our carbon sequestering initiatives and replanting efforts.
Do you partner with any conservation organizations?
Yes, we partner with the Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT) to protect endangered species and critical biodiversity in the Soutpansberg mountains and the Panthera Project to monitor our leopards.
