From Burnout to Breakthrough
Why the next breakthrough you need is on the other side of real rest, and what happens when you let the land do the work.
Most leaders I know are tired in a way that sleep does not fix.

It is not the tiredness of long hours. We made peace with those a long time ago. It is something deeper. The fatigue of being reachable everywhere. The fog that settles in from too many inputs and too little space between decisions. The slow loss of the sharper, clearer version of yourself who used to show up to your own life.
You can probably picture that version. The one who could hold the whole picture in mind. The one who knew which fire mattered and which could be left to burn out on its own. The one whose ideas arrived early.
That version is still there. The reason you cannot find your way back to her, or him, is not a question of grit. Nobody, no matter how capable, can think their way back to clarity from inside the same conditions that took it away.
This is the premise behind our upcoming retreat Burnout to Breakthrough: An Embodied Leadership Retreat. Five nights at Few & Far Luvhondo in the remote Soutpansberg Mountains, from 1 to 6 June 2026, led by Dr. Mini Rattu.
A place that knows something about restoration

There is a reason this retreat happens here, and not in a spa town or a city hotel. The land around Few & Far Luvhondo is in the middle of its own recovery. Landscapes that had been depleted are being actively restored. Wildlife corridors that had gone quiet are being stitched back together. The lodge gives more than it takes from the place that hosts it.
You feel that when you arrive. Restoration is not a wellness concept here. It is what the land is doing while you do the same.
A different kind of leadership work
Most leadership programming is built for the head. This one is built for the whole nervous system that the head is sitting on top of.
Dr. Mini Rattu draws together leadership psychology, somatic intelligence, and polyvagal-informed practice into a week of work designed to do something most retreats only gesture at: actually regulate a system that has been stuck in overdrive for years. Sunrise meditation and movement under the baobabs. Breathwork that meets the body where it is rather than where you would like it to be. Guided reflection out in the wild. The kind of work that helps you reclaim creative energy you had assumed was simply gone.
Highlights include:
Daily embodiment, leadership, and nervous-system regulation sessions with Dr. Mini Rattu
Sunrise meditation and somatic movement beneath ancient baobab trees
Polyvagal-informed breathwork and restorative practices
Guided reflection walks and learning experiences in the wild
Cultural exchange and wild dinners under the stars with the local Venda community
Time for rest, spa rituals, and deep integration

Who this is for
We have built this one for high-performing professionals, regardless of gender or industry, who have been running too hot for too long. Founders, executives, partners, people in the middle of building something, people in the middle of rebuilding themselves. You will leave with a clearer head, a few decisions made that you could not make at home, and the kind of steadier foundation that lets you lead with courage and sustainability instead of grit alone.
